A: Pryce Editorial Consulting provides writing, editing and translation services (for websites, brochures, advertisements) and also helps authors self-publish their books under the imprint E&P Books.
Q: Is one person working on my book from start to finish, handling the editing, page layout and cover design?
A: No, this is a not a one-woman show. E&P Books works with a team of professionals to create quality self-published books. In fact, every manuscript is edited and proofread by two editorial professionals (Delina & Catherine), while the covers and interior pages are created by experienced graphic designers.
Q: What can I expect during the editing process? A: Congratulations on finishing your manuscript! Now your book is ready to be handed over to an editor to be scrubbed squeaky clean, free of typos and any grammatical errors. The editor will comb through every line of your book to root out glaring mistakes as well as fix subtle problems with flow, word choice or missing information. The editor may make the revisions in your manuscript or suggest major revisions in a written critique. Authors will review these revisions and indicate the approved changes. Approved changes will be incorporated pre-layout, and final proofreading will take place post-layout and client and editors will be involved in this last step.
Q: Who designs the books? A: Pryce Editorial Consulting contracts with experienced designers for every book interior and book cover. We strive to provide you with a style for your book that you can be proud of. Delina smoothly manages the design process so that all you have to do is say “I love it!” or “Let’s tweak it like this.”
Q: I need a roadmap. What’s the self-publishing process like? Can you tell me the process step-by-step, starting with how to submit my manuscript?
A: E&P Books has put together two resources to get you started. Steps to Self-publishing is an overview of the self-publishing process. This document takes you step-by-step through all of the elements of book production. Basically it tells you exactly what you’re getting into. Of course, if you contract with us, we do the bulk of the work outlined in these steps. The Checklist will help you make sure you are submitting all of the information we need to produce your book.

Q: Can you help me get organized? I’m having trouble making headway on my manuscript.
A: If you have ideas, but no manuscript, we can help. Our pre-manuscript services include writing coaching and idea development. We walk you through outline development, set deadlines for completing each chapter, edit and proofread, and encourage you to reach your goals. If you’re willing to put in the work, you could have a completed manuscript within 4-6 weeks. Let E&P Books help you take the next step toward publishing.
Q: Can you just ghostwrite my book? I just don’t have time.
A: Sure! E&P Books collaborates with future-authors who have come terms with the fact that there are not enough hours in the day to write a book. Be forewarned: this process takes many hours and requires you to actively collaborate. Contact us to learn more about how this process works. Ghostwriting services are billed hourly.
